Bliss requires .net framework Version 1.1

Postby jsanzo » Sun Oct 22, 2006 9:42 pm

Hi
1.4 installs without any issue. But I get the above .NET Framework on 1.5.3. Using Windows XP SP2. .Net is up to date. If I uninstall 1.4 and try to install 1.5.3 same error. If I reinstall 1.4 on the XP SP2 PC then install 1.5.3 on Vista RC 2 with the .NET 1.1 it installs without a issue. Doesn't run but installs like I said. Now if I copy those files from the Vista RC 2 installation to the XP SP2 Everything seems to work fine. Any Idea what might be cause the .NET error on the XP install. I've even gone as far as uninstalling Bliss, and .NET and reinstalling everything... Same results.

Thanks

Hi,

I am a little unclear from this post just what error you are seeing. Are you seeing this error at install time or runtime? Can you tell me what the error message says? Perhaps if you could clarify this a bit I could give a better answer.

Thanks,

Bliss requires .net framework Version 1.1

Postby jsanzo » Mon Oct 23, 2006 11:33 am

The upshot is 1.4 installs without any problem when I go to install 1.5.x it prompts and says Bliss requires .net framework Version 1.1 to be installed. Which it is.

Thanks

Hi,

Bliss has always required that .NET Version 1.1 be installed. I am very surprised that you are having any difficulty with 1.5 that you did not have with 1.4.

Even if you have 2.0 installed, you can still install 1.1, they don't interefere with each other.

THanks,

Don
