Using a work laptop

Postby GreenElephant » Sat Sep 20, 2008 10:48 am

Hi

The only portable computer I have available to use is my work laptop. Obviously I don't want any traces to be left on it. Is there a version that will run from a memory stick and not put anything (even in the registry etc) on the laptop?

Thanks!

Hi,

There is a slight trace left behind, Bliss does store a few things in the Registry. If you delete the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GamesForLoving, all traces will be gone. You can use regedit to do this.

What about jbliss? Does that leave any traces behind? I can't imagine it has to write to the registry if it can be used on linux or other non-windows OSs.

Jbliss writes to the registry also. It uses the Java Preferences system, which on Windows is implemented as using the registry. It is implemented on other operating systems using different methods.
