Postby rz1988 » Sun Oct 03, 2010 5:17 pm

I am a linux newbie, Bliss runs fine on my windows but i can't get it to run right in ubuntu. It opens and runs, but after entering action files, dress, and levels when i click F2 it closes the window. No error message or anything. Any ideas?

Hi,

The first thing I would check is to see what version of Java is installed on the machine. It needs to be Java 1.6 (JRE6), preferably version 21.

If that is the case, than I would suggest running Bliss from a command line (java -jar Bliss.jar) and see if you get any error messages on the command prompt if it exits.

Thanks,

Don

You probably need to specify the path to where the bliss.jar file is located, something like java -jar /programs/install/bliss.jar (or whatever the appropriate path is).

I had cd'd to the directory the files were in, but I will try this as well.

Linux is case sensitive, your command MUST have Jbliss.jar NOT jbliss.jar
