Win 7 no sound

I have no sound during the game, neither background or action. When I open the sound preferences, it shows the playlist. If I hit play the button now says stop, but there is no sound. I can play all the sound effects, but not the music.

Can you provide any details of your sound card? What type of sound card are you using? Do you have current drivers for it?

It is a laptop with a Realtek card, windows says the driver is up to date. I have had no other sound issues.

I doubt if there is an actual sound card issues, I was just hoping to find a Java incompatability with that card, but I don't see one.

The version of Bliss that is normally shipped for PCs has the Java Run Time pre combined with the Java code to form a single .exe.

One thing that would be worth trying would be to install a Java Run Time on your machine which you can download from:

http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Then download the Java version of Bliss (the one that is normally used for Linux machines) and see if it has the sound issues. If it runs OK we know we have an issue with the packager. If not, it might be a JRT issue.

It does exactly the same thing with the java version.
