net framework not recognized

We recently had a hard drive crash and had to install a new one was able to load everything off of back ups except the game. I have XP sp2 and both .net framework version 1.1 and 2.0 installed on the machine. I can load version 1.4 of the game it works fine if I try to load 1.5 I get an error message that tells me that I have to have net framework installed on my computer which as stated above is already on.

This is after uninstalling ver 1.4 of the game

Sorry about this problem. This has been reported by a couple of other customers as well. I do not really understand why this is happening because the test for .NET in 1.5 is actually weaker than the test in 1.4.

The other customers have been able to solve the problem by installing .NET 1.1 Service Pack 1 which is available free from Microsoft. You can download it from:

If this does not solve the problem, let me know and I will send you a special version of the installer that doesn't test for .NET at all.

I had already had that installed also but I downloaded it again adn installed it but that does not work either
