Postby cabinets » Wed Jun 06, 2007 8:14 pm

In win xp.. no problems, even xp x64. In Vista Home Premium 32 I get this with any action that has a timer. As soon as I click OK to begin the time it crashes with this....

Unhandled Exception... blah blah blah

The given key was not present in the dictionary.

and the details...

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system>
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

The game played flawlessly on this machine up until I installed 1.5.5 over 1.5.4

Ideas? It sort of sounds like the internal clock timeout repair may have gone a bit beyond just the time out clock?

Thanks for a great game!

Hi,

Thanks for the detailed report.

This crash is indicating that the Timer "tick" sound can't be found for some reason. The only change between 1.5.4 and 1.5.5 was removing the one line of code that did the timeout and changing the revision numbers, so obviously something is really strange. I am almost starting to wonder if I got a bad compile. I will do some testing on Vista tomorrow and get back to you.

Thanks for the report.

OK, if I turn off the timer tick under sound prefs, it doesn't crash. I am using what appears to be the default selection of windows media player to play the sounds.

Thanks!
