problem with 1.55 download

I have a licensed version of 1.53 I recently tried to DL 1.55 but the file always DLs as a 0 byte file.
I'm using firefox 2.0

I do not have Firefox 2.0 on my machine, but I do have Firefox 1.5 and Internet Explorer 7. I just tried downloading the 1.5.5 installer using each of these and it worked properly in both cases. I will install Firefox 2.0 tomorrow and see if I see any difference, but I doubt if it will.

When I have seen this sort of behavior in the past, it is usually due to a corrupt copy of the download somehow being cached in the browser. This is something that I have seen quite often with IE, I haven't seen it in the past with Firefox.

I would suggest that you clear everything you can on Firefox such as off-line caches and pages visited, and then try the download again.

I think it is s Firefox 2.0 issue I was able to use IE 7 and it worked
