How to import actions and profiles into iBliss

Many people already own the desktop version of Bliss and have purchased action packs or created their own custom actions and profiles. If this is the case for you then you can import these actions and profiles into the iPhone/iPad version of Bliss. Here's how:

First you need to find the files to import. The location varies depending on which operating system you're running:

• For Windows XP navigate to C:\Program Files\Games for Loving\Bliss 1.6.
• For Windows Vista or Windows 7 navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Games for Loving\Bliss 1.6.
• For Mac OSX right-click or control-click on the Bliss application and choose Show Package Contents. Then navigate to Contents/Resources/Java.

Once you're at that location you can find the action files in the Actions folder and any profiles you've created in the Profiles folder.

Now that you've found the files to import you can go about importing them. There are directions for this in the Bliss iPhone/iPad app at Help > Game Options > Adding Custom Files. It mentions that there are two ways you can go about it:

Adding Files Via Email

1. Email your files as attachments to an account that you can access on your device’s Mail app.
2. Open the Mail app on your device and select the email.
3. Find the attachment you want to send to Bliss and tap on it.
4. Tap Open in “Bliss”

Adding Files Through iTunes

1. Make sure your device is connected to your computer and open iTunes.
2. Select your device in iTunes’ sidebar and click the Apps header in the main view.
3. Scroll down to the File Sharing section and select Bliss in the Apps list.
4. Drag the files you want to add onto the Bliss Documents list, or click the Add... button to browse for your files.

Here are a couple things to check when importing:

• If you're importing through iTunes, make sure you import the individual action and/or profile files, not the Actions and/or Profiles folders.
• Make sure that the action files have a .bjf extension, not .bdf. If your action files have a .bdf extension then you can convert them to .bjf files using our online converter.

After you've imported the files, the next time you start a new game on the iPhone or iPad you should see the imported actions listed on the Action Packs screen. If you imported any profiles then you should see them listed on the Game Speed screen on the iPhone or on the Profile screen on the iPad. Note that the iPad only shows the Profile screen if you have imported profiles.

when using the demo version of the game, the profiles seem to be stored, but they dont save to a profiles folder.
is this normal? was wanting to try a profile on the iphone (real) version.

I'm not sure whether the demo version of desktop Bliss saves profiles, but it won't matter soon: the next version of iPhone/iPad Bliss, coming in a few days, will allow you to edit profiles right on your device.

How do you delete an imported action file?

You can delete files through iTunes. First get the list of files in iTunes:

1. Make sure your device is connected to your computer and open iTunes.
2. Select your device in iTunes’ sidebar and click the Apps header in the main view.
3. Scroll down to the File Sharing section and select Bliss in the Apps list.

Then simply select the file you want to delete and hit the Delete button on your keyboard. You may need to Sync your device afterwards; I'm not sure.

I’m still confused I can’t seem to import add on files on my iPad version.

Hi Bennybiel, Could you let me know which version of Windows or Mac you're using? Both Mac and iTunes have changed how they manage devices in recent versions so that may be causing some confusion.
