ios purchase not showing up anymore

I purchased the IOS version back in the day.
But now I tried to reinstall and it wants me to pay the $12 again.

Is it possible that an update to the app caused a problem with prior purchases? or do I need to contact apple to see why I cant see that app as a purchase anymore?

Hi,

No, we haven't updated the app in any way that would require an additional purchase—if you are logging in with the same iTunes account as before then it shouldn't be asking you to pay for the app again. Unfortunately this isn't an issue that we can resolve. You'll have to contact Apple to see why your prior purchase isn't being recognized. Good luck!
