I use Super AppLock for android and it works very well. I use it for adult apps as well as anything that could be compromised if the phone is lost such as facebook, google play, ebay or anywhere money could be spent.

Another option is Apex launcher for android. It allows hiding apps from the tray so that anyone casually browsing apps would not see it at all even if not password protected.
