How many action files?

How many action files do people typically use? Is it better to have a select few OR the more the better? I know this is very subjective depending on the couple but....any "perfect" combinations out there that people have found?

We usually use 4-6 of them, but I have created several action files that are not very large. I think one thing to consider is how long you intend to play,obviously shorter games dont use as many actions whereas you would want more actions for longer games. If you create your own action file that you want to especially use, then it makes more sense to us only the basic file along with your own.
