Why doesn't any of the music play?

Notice: This topic applies only to Bliss 1.5.7 and older.

This probably means that your playlists are out of sync with the installed music. To fix this, follow the following procedure:

The music played by Bliss all comes from two Playlists in the Windows Media Player. These playlists are called "Bliss" and "Bliss Background". The reason for using playlists is that it makes it easy for you to add your own favorite music to the game. You can add music from CDs, from music download services, basically anything that Windows Media Player can play, Bliss can play.

The first time you run Bliss, it goes into the Media Player and creates these playlists. When you downloaded the new version, you downloaded higher quality .mp3 versions of the music instead of the medium quality .wma versions that were there, so now the playlists can't find the music. The simplest way to fix this is to do the following:

1. Make sure Bliss is NOT running.
2. Start the Window Media Player.
3. Go to the "Library" tab in the media player.
4, On the left of the scrren, click on the "+" next to "My Playlists"
5. Click on the "Bliss" playlist and press the Delete key.
6. Select the "Delete from library and my computer" button, then press OK.
7. Repeat for the "Bliss Background" playlist.
8. Close the Media Player.
9. Open the Media Player again, make sure the playlists are really gone.
10. Close the Media Player.
11. Run Bliss, it will recreate the playlists pointing to the music that is there now.

Once you do this, you can use Media Player to add your own music or remove music you don't like from the game. Anything in the Bliss playlist will be offered as a choice for special events (like stripping). Anything in the Bliss Background playlist will be played the rest of the time. Some customers like to add more songs to the "Bliss Background" playlist, even if it is adding the same songs repeatedly so that the playlist will run longer for long games.
