Re: jBliss 1.6.1 public beta
I hit F2 to start a new game & it crashes:

Can you please tell me what Operating System, OS Version and (if this wasn't Windows) what Java Version you were running.

Thanks,

OS & java versions:

~$ uname -a
Linux JB13 2.6.32-43-generic #97-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 5 16:43:09 UTC 2012 i686 GNU/Linux
~$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_24"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.11.4) (6b24-1.11.4-1ubuntu0.10.04.1)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode)

1 improvment with 1.6.1 - in the action editor, menu selection Custom -> Categories - now works. However, Situations is still not functioning. Neither functions in 1.6.0. - when clicked nothing happens.

I am able to reproduce the JXList crash and I am working on a fix for it.

I am not able to reproduce the Action Editor problem. Can you run the game manually from a command line or perhaps check the Java console and see if any error messags are displayed when you attemp to open Custom->Situations.

Thanks,

Hi,

I have uploaded a patch that will fix the JXList problem. This is just a patch, unzip it over the top of your existing Beta download. It only replaces Bliss.jar.

Clicking Situations in jBliss 1.6.1 produces this: (no crash, but no function either)

This patch did fix the JXList bug. And I can get through the setup, but the same old sound bug causes a crash when the music starts. We have corresponded on this already.

java: /build/buildd/openjdk-6-6b24-1.11.4/build/../pulseaudio/src/native/org_classpath_icedtea_pulseaudio_Stream.c:720: Java_org_classpath_icedtea_pulseaudio_Stream_native_1pa_1stream_1cork: Assertion `stream' failed.
Aborted

So with just a quick look at jBliss 1.6.1: no better, no worse

Hi,

I have uploaded another patch. This should fix the Custom Situations, the Custom Categories and (hopefully) the sound issue. This is just a patch, unzip it over the top of your existing Beta download. It only replaces Bliss.jar.

If it doesn't fix the sound issue, please send me a stack trace of the crash like you did on the others.

Yes & yes ! Yea - sound works and the games plays! This is the first time it has worked since a very early version of jBliss. Its great to have jBliss working on my preferred platform. Thanks.

One small bug - i hear the dice roll but not the ticking of the squares advancing? I did check the sliders under "Sound Preferences" Also the timer tick is odd - it seems to tick once every 3 seconds or so. Maybe there is some silence before the effect plays?
